Solberg interview

So Toyota or Skoda then?Quote:
“It will not be WRC,” he said. “I got a few offers, actually, but it appears that I will compete in WRC2 in 2024.”
Or.. if Fourmaux is in Puma, then maybe Wilson offered some good deal for rally2 car.. as he needs someone fast to show the car's potential.
"being the quickest overall at every rally and on every surface this year"
It's the quotes like this that I don't like about Oliver.
He was certainly not quickest on tarmac in general and especially in Croatia.
Was that his aim or was it “I will be the quickest…”
It’s perfectly reasonable for a driver of his calibre to say I aim to be the quickest a driver at every rally, that’s what elite sportspeople should be doing to stay at the top of their game.
Facebook Post from Skoda Motorsport:
Škoda Motorsport is looking forward to the next WRC2 season and further cooperation with @oOliver Solberg! One of the most talented young drivers in the WRC2 championship has collected an impressive number of stage wins in the 2023 season. Good luck for the next season with us!
Good news for Skoda, the new car is I believe very fast but it needs an aggressive driver to access that speed. And good news for Solberg is it sounds as if he will be a more official Skoda driver this year rather than just a Toksport customer, so should be more involved in manufacturer testing etc.
As expected, the Solberg - Yaris drive story from Facebook was BS...

Great news. I was really getting worried about Skoda
Most obvious choice for Skoda if u want to win WRC2 again. Curious if they'll use a 2nd driver aswell..
